Opening the Disco using the Keys

Ok, My Disco 2 I think is in standard setup. You press the remote once to open the drivers door, press it again to open the rest of the doors. If you try and open it with the key, it unlocks but as soon as you open the doors the alarm go's off. I know you can have the remote re-configured to open all doors with one press but I would also like to be able to just open the car with the keys if I had too without setting off the alarm.
Any Idea's or am I just doing something wrong. :? :?

If you lock it it with the key the it deactivates the internal space alarm but the door alarmas are still activated. Even if you lock with the key you still need to open with the button or else the alarm goes off.

As far as I know you cannot change this.

If people are interested on why locking with the key, it is because the internal space alarm can be set off by flying dust caused by a fridge in the back of the car, my engle sets it off everytime if I don't lock with the key.

You can have certain characteristics changed to your requirements to do with this system at the nearest Land Rover dealer.

Give them a call and I know in the D2 it can be changed to how you would like it to operate.

I cant lock mine with the windows open a tad (ITS BLACK AND GETS HOT!!!!) without the bloody alarm going off.
I will try locking it with the key(In the lock I guess???) and see how I go.
