thats where i am going to put mine when i get off my lazy butt
for now it is in a bag in the back...
I've always thought that under the bonnet isn't a great environment for a compressor. Heat, dust, water, etc.... must kill the unit, if not the filter, very quickly. A lot of people I know tell me that this theory is pure bunk.
Where do you keep yours and why?
Mine is nder the LHS passenger's seat. The coiled-up hose sits next to it. It's plugged in to an Anderson plug I've positioned right next to it. I can disconnect the compressor to run any other appliance I need to from this plug location as well.... like inverters and a 12v low-draw heated blanket (for the dog, who lives inside the car when camping down in the Snowies in -15 degree temperatures. (It's a Pug - and they can't take either the heat or the cold in excessive ranges.)

Mine is a cheapie in its own case so lives in the drawers in the back of my tray.
Mine is there also, but I have mounted it on the angled part of the wheel well. this gets it a bit higher, and there is room for my tent poles under the seat in front of it. Have not hard wired it in yet, as I'm waiting for my cargo barrier to mount a fuse box on or near.

Same spot, but on the drivers side.![]()

Under the drivers seat, hard wired, small air tank with outlet plumbed into the bullbar
I have an ARB compressor inside my recovery tool box which is hard wired .The box sits between the wheel arches behind the back seat , the switch is on the inside pass rear near tailgate with just the air hose clip exposed out of the toolbox so snap on the hose press the switch and pump away .
Mine's under the back seat drivers side hard wired direct from battery auxiliary fuse box. It's a Blue Tongue, and with 6 metres of airline will reach all 4 vehicle tyres and the camper trailer.
