Sort of sorted. Had a look around and did move the actuator, All good on the way home, so either it was a stuck actuator or an overboost, at least narrowed down to these two.
Hey guys I know this has been done to death, but this morning on the way to work lost power (like losing boost) after refuelling. Got about 10kms and heard a small pop, thought ok, troublesome boost gauge vacuum hose has melted again, but no that seemed ok. I did find the hose to the airbox had popped off when I got to work. Would this cause a loss of power? This is my main reason for this post. My thoughts would have been no. I wont have a chance to drive it again until late this arvo. Shows boost on the boost gauge. Being a Defender will it go into limp mode if overboosted? Fitted a CHRA turbo core a couple of months ago, showing boost on the gauge I am assuming not the turbo. Being a sudden loss I dont think it is the MAF and the intercooler hoses are OK. Will check the wastegate modulator later for movement, but last time that stuck I lost boost on the gauge as well.
As for the CHRA turbo core, I cant see what all the fuss was over these, power was up slightly over the old core and turbo lag is slightly better, but I would not say huge gains like others seem to have had.
Another question is it possible I have too much boost? I have read conflicting details of td5 defenders going into limp mode. Is this possible? Some seem to say yes, others no on pre 2002 td5s.
Cheers
Craig

All sorted, managed to get my Nanocom back and actually get it to work. Seems it may have gone into limp mode on over boost. Must have exceeded 1.25bar. Currently tracking and peaks at around 1/20 with backing adjuster off.
