    GOOD IDEA! i actually just finished doing just that, i used a 60 series rear heater, the one under the drivers seat, and made my own pipe collector box and have for demist only, seems to blow quite well, Thanks all

    Ahem!!! I was just asking a question to get a bit of background. I think you'll find a problem becomes easier to solve if more is known about the background to the problem and rationale behind the thinking.

    I had one of those electrical things on my S2a in the mid sixties - worked very well, and I am keeping my eyes open to get two for my current 2a - couldn't work much worse than the current setup, and have the advantage they work with the engine cold - worth thinking about on cold winter starts!

    electric element heated windscreens are available in the UK as an option on Defenders.

    We used to use one of those little stick on elements in the old '69 Toyota Crown ute that was 'my' vehicle as an apprentice. Absolutely bloody useless. One had to ensure there was clean rags in the front when it rained so one could see where one was going.... :roll:
