Places to have disco serviced in Armadale.WA
Hi Gang
I was wondering if any body can recomend a service center for discos in the south of river, armadale, kelmscot etc
The Reg service center is in Ossy park which is hard for us to use.
thanks Pete

Disco servicing.
Hi Discosonic.
Try Rovertech in John Street Bentley. Kevin Falconbridge is the bloke to talk to on 9350 5633
He's good bloke who'll help LR owners out whenever possible and there wouldn't be much he doesn't know about them.
Don't go to the main stealers just up the highway from him.
Good luck
Alan.

Other than Southern Landrover, Rover Tech is th only other mob I know south of the river
I used to go there my self, until I decided to do it my self.
What do you want done?
( I do know a LR wiz who lives in Aramadale. He used to work for Rovertech until recently )

The car is fine but it is due for its six month service and also needs front drivers side wheel bearing checked, as there is an intermitant bearing load noise coming from the front.
Cheers

I'm in roleystone and do almost all the servicing myself, but if I have to get help I only go to Guest & Puddy in west perth - drive it there and catch train back or get a loaner.
good luck,
Taz.

service
I can do every thing except the tuning.
The injection system in my 99/3.9 s1 is nearly the same as my Subaru Vortex
which helps but better to be safe than sorry with the Disco as its the wifes carand like all married men im scared of her

I get mine serviced by Robson Brothers 4wd service centre. Their not rover specialist but servicing these cars is pretty basic and they've got the obdII scanner so they can pic up faults in the computer (not abs, airbag or other electrics like in the newer landrovers). When I used to get it serviced by Southern Landrover it wold come back as rough running as it went in and they charge a premium for servicing so that was that, the one time it went to rover tech it came back with some wires disconnected or something but basically went from 450k's a tank to 200k's, this was fixed by Landrover, that along with grease marks left all over the front wings and we wern't willing to take it back.
On the tuning side of things if I'm that keen to get it running real smooth I'll book it in to Discovery Automotive and wait while they do it then drive home but seeing as how they knock themselves out of tune so quickly I don't really worry about this as the efi takes care of basic tune
. One of the sons of the owner (mechanic there) was telling me about it after my fuel pump went when I wass picking up a steering damper. These guys seem to know what they are talking about but just to far out of the way.
For SOR I would recomend Robson Brothers (also bently), but this is still a fair way away if your in armadale. I do know that if you book well in advance you can arange to get a loan car. These guys replaced my front bearings without a problem and the guys let me keep them after so I could have a look at them to see what was wrong with them (inner seal had gone and bearings were seriously pitted). There also 4wd enthusiasts so they know whats going to need attention if you use your vehicle regulaly off road. Robs also good for a chat if you interested in getting any modifcations done or planning a trip, he's usually more than willing to help out.
Cheers,
Stuart

Thanks gang for all your help. It's great to know that there's so much on offer this side of the river. Much appreciated.
