    1998 130 aircon .

Question 1. Where do you purchase vents from any idea,'

    2. As above switch combo fan and thermos look a bit suspect any alternatives.

    3. Blower motor fan resistor, alternatives or original.

Interesting problem which leads me to believe the Fan resistor is shorting to earth. Fan works on 3 only. Power supply fuse Front of battery box, blows as soon as it is replaced and then fan put on. I have disconnected front fan , compressor and pressure switch to isolate issue. Once again fuse blows when fan placed on. Now fan runs on 3 with fuse blown. The only thing I can think of is the resistor is shorting to earth. Any guesses.??? . I have looked at a thousand posts perhaps I've missed something. BAZ

you can not get the exact same thing but there is a very close generic vent that will fit using a file and a few minutes of labour.

most decent car aircond places should be able to supply i would think

Try here for replacement vents. This is what I fitted.

Vintage Air Dash Mount Rectangular Vent Suits 63mm Duct Black with Chrome Accent: Speedy Air Spares

Ask for your question 1 - if you are referring to the thermo fan at the front of the condenser, I swapped my original with a bigger Davis Crag unit

You may be able to source a new fan switch on line.

Check and clean all your connections. On my 98 130, there is a relay at the back of the air con unit and the only way to access is to drop the air con unit down. No need to disconnect hoses - there is just enough room to get your hand in there.
