Head gasket
Does the leaking head gasket issue on the 300Tdi, that seams quite prevalent, occur in the older 200Tdi? It just appears no post about head gaskets contain the 200Tdi.

The head gasket issue seems much less prevalent for 200tdis. In fact, most of the tdi "issues" don't seem to affect the 200tdis. Certainly timing belt problems are almost unheard of and belt tensioners don't exist. You just have to put up with the greater noise and harshness compared to the 300tdis.

Welcome Zook92 (fancy seeing you here  )
The 300Tdi with a bit of age will most probably have had the issues including the head gasket either sorted or non-existant by now.
If you go to a 200Tdi on a manual it will be coupled to an LT77 gearbox (on the Disco at least) the R380 coupled to the 300Tdi is a much better transmission...Oh well.... swings and roundabouts

With the issues they have, i guess it if feel the need i can just get the head gasket done, so i know it is fine. I also now know that the 300TDi came with the stronger axles as well. Axles cost a lot more than a head gasket i guess. So hard to choose!
