Rear Step
Hi, first time on the board, seeems like a good site, certainly lots of usefull info on here!
My question. Has anyone tried bolting a Disco rear step (the spring loaded one) to a defender? The Defender steps seem pretty pricey over here and I keep expecting to slip off the tow ball when I get in and out one of these days. My ex army defender had a set of those steps that you bolt on the tow bar but you dont seem to see them in Aus.

Shouldn't be too difficult, it's only 2 bolts.
I usually take mine off (and the drop down tow ball attachment) when I head off road.

No thats Ok, thanks anyway. Two bolts you say, I wasnt sure if they picked up existing holes in the defender chasie(?) or not but I can get round that.
I had assumed that as it was spring loaded it wouldnt interfere with the departure angle, I will obviously have to take a good look at one in the scrappers when I get the chance.
Thanks again for the reply.

I've got a genuine Defender one here that no longer fits with the Long range tank...
$20.00 + postage and its yours....
Unless you live down south (Morphett Vale area) then I can leave it at a mates when I'm down there this week.
Cheers
Mike

And that, people, is why this is such a good forum. Problem solved by the sounds of it!
