It might be a keyed switch for a power cable that runs under the floor.
Any other guesses?
Can anyone enlighten me as to what this lock might be used for?
It is behind the drivers seat in my Crew Cab 130 Defender which was originally set up for Telstra.

When I'm here I want to be out there.
I had a look underneath, and no wires at all.
I think it Sly may have it! Must have been some security lock for a box behind the seats. There's nothing on the other side of the cabin, and no locating holes or whatever, so I'm not sure how it worked.
Thanks.
Aw jeez mate, whatever you do, don't touch it.
That's the lock for the Military Defender folding option. Flick that fella over and you can fold it in half for transport on a cargo plane and for more compact parachute drops.
Lucky bugger, my 130 didn't come with one.

I saw one of these locks today on the rovers in mission impossible 3. I think it bullet proofs the vehicle and makes it go faster than stock versions.Originally posted by abaddonxi
