    Loom header connector

No ABS faults logged - all systems pass the self test at every cold start. However if I have driven any distance to the point that the road speed signal disappears ie dead speedo and the amber ACE light showing, a stop and restart at anytime in the next few hours will see ACE fail the self test and the speedo will not function. Hawkeye will return an ACE fault “no road speed signal received - fault logged” the ABS has been returning “no faults detected”

I might create another topic re missing road speed signal since the original thread has now morphed into that Loom header connector

I assume that the ABS ecu connectors have been re-seated to ensure good contact.

Not yet - have tried them but access is not ideal for the SLABS with the others in the way so I have decided to take them all out because I am interested to see what variant of the SLABS i have fitted (there was a recall for pre 2003 vehicles) and primarily because I now have the pefect opportunity to update to D2a SRD500070 SLABS to belatedly finish off my CDL conversion.

When you remove the ACE ecu you might want to cut the reverse gear feed wire so that ACE doesn't go locked bars when using reverse. Crawling slowly with bars unlocked into a spot from where you need to reverse out could result in getting stuck because the bars are locked.

ACE goes locked bars whenever reverse is selected.

    Ah..!
Drive in with full articulation (ie unlocked bars) vs driving out with bars locked (ie less articulation) presents a risk of getting diagonally crossed up .
