'99 Manual TD5 Disco - couple of questions

    1. I am about to change my top and bottom radiator hoses so can I just unclip them and go for it or do I need to drain anything or do anything before they are removed - same goes for my turbo hoses.

    2. I have sucked in a bit of dirty water through a gap in my air box and the air mass metre has a bit of dried dirt on it, a. will this affect it's operation b. can I clean it by hoing it down or c. what does a new one cost?

Thanks in advance as I start to tackle some of these easier jobs myself, Mick

Make sure they post it by air parcel post and not DHL. By app you do not have to have a customs entry and it will be delivered to your door. ByDHL you run teh risk of having them do a custome entry and charging you $100 for teh privilege.

BUT first check the sensor part of the MAF. Are the wires clean? If not spray them with electronic contact cleaner. I believe you can also brush them with something soft like a toothbrush, but you would probably have to pull it apart. I do not know what a TD5 MAF looks like.
