Thread: Car Builders Sound deadening

I have just bought this:

To do the doors in my D-Max.

Priced right, see how it goes I suppose...

Just last weekend I used a box and a half of their sound deadener on the roof and parts of the floor and seatbox of my 130 dual cab. I also used their under bonnet mat (the cheaper one). I've used a bit of the 6mm closed cell foam too. Didn't do much in the front as I already have a fair bit of mass loaded vinyl over the transmission tunnel and floors. Planning on getting a wright offroad mat for the front if I can too.

Initial impression is BIG IMPROVEMENT so far. Much less tinny and seems quieter. Haven't had it on the freeway yet though.

So far we have installed the Sound deadener and 6mm foam in the roof of the 90 with excellent results - even in direct sun (and its 40c in the shade) with a black roof, the lining is cool to the touch.
Drumming is all but eliminated and the AC more effective.

I have all the materials sitting here for the rest of the vehicle.

Next jobs will be all rear floor and sides, under seat area, footwells and transmission tunnel.
Even placing some inside the doors to deaden and insulate them.

Very happy with the products and how they install and function.

I have used their products on a few vehicles, and have been very happy with the results. I haven't bought a "kit" - rather just boxes of their stuff. From time to time they have specials - and I have bought a few boxes of their stuff, along with the knife.. With the knife it's reasonably easy to take a piece, measure and cut it to size.

I've used their sound deadening, as well as heat deadening products - I've been happy with the results.
