    Adhesive for window fittings ?

I need to put SWMBO's high level brake light back where it belongs.
Age and the heat-wave over here have broken the 'plastic to blob' bond, which are still firmly stuck to the paint/glass.

    - Two round blobs, about 2cm across held onto the two clear plastic 'shoes' ... until recently...and I'd like a heads-up on what I could use to re-attach the plastic to the blobs..
Would an automotive - grade double sided tape work ?
Or is there a suitable adhesive. ?

If the blobs weren't so well stuck onto the glass I'd have looked at 'Wind-screeen Mirror Super glue'

    Thanks !

The blobs are likely a version of that glue.

I recently installed a D2 high level brake light in my 300Tdi defender and used arildite to adhere the brackets to the rear windscreen carefully avoiding putting any glue on the heater elements. Yours looks similar from your photo.

    Hope that may help.
