Speedo - after checking it against the GPS to work out the error. In the three Foresters we've owned, 118 indicated is 110km/h.

    On my XJR1300, 110 indicated is 100km/h,

On my L322, 100km/h on the ScanGauge digital speedo is 107km/h on the analogue. However, it should be noted that I had the speedo needle off to dismantle the instrument binnacle when fitting a new ribbon cable. Dead pixel fix

Although I marked the needle position before removing it, doesn't mean it's back in exactly the same spot.

    Hi,
I drive to my GPS. I use a dash mounted Garmin, not the factory unit in the D4. My wife has a Mazda MX5 and her factory GPS won't display speed.

I do. If I were to drive according to my speedo, I would be doing 94 while indicating 100. Try that towing a caravan on the Bruce, don't like trucks hitching a ride in the bathroom of the van.

My D3 speedo is very close to GPS speeds. My old Tojo 'tilly, with 15" wheels, is down by 10 kph on the speedo. This lessens whenever new tyres, Maxxis Bighorns, are added.

Speedo - I went into the CCF and modified it so my Speedo and True Ground Speed are a match.

On the bikes I have Speedo correction units to do exactly the same.

Drive by the GPS only very rarely look at the speedo, particularly in the van as it’s easier to look at it,low in center of the windscreen than the speedo.

I also know exactly what speed I am going,so don’t hold up the trucks that are sitting on an actual 105km/hr in a 100 zone, but I do get stuck behind people that think they are sitting on 100, but are actually sitting on 95 to 96k’s.
