I've just developed the same problem on my disco. I figured I'd loosened a wire whilst off road

I think you'll have to take the door trim off & check if it's an electrical problem or a mechanical one.

See if you can hear/feel the actuator when the central locking is operated.
Check the link from the actuator to the door latch to make sure it's all connected OK.

When I put the key in, it simply just unlocks the door, no other noise, so somethings come loose somewhere, will have to open up and operate methinks...on the passenger door all is well and working, did these actually come with remote locking?

I have fixed a few of these problems in the past. Now just need to remember what I did,

Remove the door trim with the window up you will see the door lock, could be simple conecting rod to door lock and motor has come adrift hence no sound or the motor may Buggered, old rangie locks tend to need adjustment as age catchs up. Some times simply lubricting the lock and rods will fix the proplem, have also had worn lock buttons cause a problem similar to this.

Best I can do to help.

O.k, hooked Actuator up, she's a no go, anyone know where to get a 2nd hand one from?, It's a 92 Rangie but i suppose models around that year would have the same thing?,RH drivers door, alternatively 92 was no doubt the year Land Rover changed to some new and ridiculously expensive door locking mechs......cynical but correct i expect.
