The fine spline on the Fairy is prone to wear - while yours could be a copy of the Fairey, I wonder if it is actually a Fairey with a custom made coupling?
Hello All
I am looking for some help/advice regarding the possible make of an overdrive unit I have - and where I might get a Clutch Sleeve for it. Outwardly it looks like a Fairey O/drive but it is not and has no identification markings on the casing. The mainshaft has a 20 tooth spline that should mate with the Clutch Sleeve. The Fairey Clutch Sleeve has a much finer spline with a much larger number of teeth. Apart from the spline mis-match the Fairey Clutch Sleeve with bearing fits correctly inside the o/drive output gear.
Any help/info is greatly appreciated.
John

Toro OD? Can you post a couple of pics for ID purposes?
I'd have to agree with cjc_td5, possibly a Toro.
I believe they look much the same but unfortunately parts are not readily available.

Made by Bearmach years back. A Google search throws up manuals, pictures and people looking for parts..........
