    Exclamation

ok guys now I need your help.

As Uncle Ho rightly points out above, I need all sorts of information before I can order my VDO.

I jumped under the 'fender today and tried to see if there were any stickers or such on the Alternator. There was a sticker, but it just told me that it was a Magnetti Marelli and that the model was A127-65 (or something like that, was kinda hard to see properly even after I cleaned it off with a rag).

    Make and model of vehicle:
    - 1994 Land Rover 300tdi Defender 110 Station Wagon
    Voltage:
    - 12v
    Alternator:
    - Megnetti Marelli
    Number of pole pairs:
    - ???
    Alternator pulley Diameter:
    - ???
    Crankshaft Pulley Diameter:
    - ???

Does anyone know how many "pole pairs" the alternator is likely to have or even better, tell me / show me what to look for so I can count them myself??

As for the Alternator and Crankshaft pulley diameter, I guess I'll have to grab a ruler out and measure those the ol' fashioned way

    - 12 poles, so that would be 6 pairs
    Alternator pulley Diameter:
    - 49.2mm
    Crankshaft Pulley Diameter:
    - 162mm
