Thanks Ron - the engine oil had been in for 3 years but just sitting with the occasional start over that time - no issues until the weekend.

Breathers are still open to the atmosphere. I think the oil just pooled on top of the heads.

I will keep the 4.6 thanks - conversion only half done - still running early 90s LPG restrictor system, still on 3.5 carbs and 101 exhaust manifolds and ignition fixed at 10 BTDC - might not be able to develop full horsepower with the engine strangled but it still gets its torque down low - is really noticeable.

    Any ideas on weight Garry?
I've ridden in two with various V8's and they seem to get along alright.

While my GVM is 3652kg, I normally run around 2300 to 2500kg. Tare is about 1950kg.

I find my weight, with full tank of fuel, LPG bottle,3x jerrycans, bull bar, tools, towbar in the real world works out to be 2500kg as well.

If you took that bull bar off you would probably come in under 2000kg
