I'll back off at this point for fear of giving a dumb answer;)

i heard the Td5 has about 5 thermostats in different locations to allow different things to heat up .....
you may have a faulty thermostat somewhere slowing down your coolant circulation......

i havent looked on RAVE to confirm any of this.....

please do :D :D

there is some sort of bypass valve that bypasses the radiator below 1500rpm.....
to aid in heating....above 1500rpm...the pump produces enough pressure to open this valve
which allows coolant flow through the radiator.......
