    Defender heat / vent controls

Ok before I break something I need advice.

I'm having trouble with the levers on the RHS of the dash which control the airflow (screen or feet) and temperature (hot or not so hot). In attempting to turn the heater off this afternoon I applied appropriate amount of force but instead of the lever moving, the knobby bit on the end actually bent. The levers are very difficult to move verging on stuck.

How do I fix this ?
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Mine were like that four years ago.
I just pulled the cover off and undid the ends and used some bike chain lube down the bowden cable and worked it back and forwards. They've been fine since.

OK, I used Rock-N-Roll Extreme http://www.rocklube.com/products_detail_extreme.html as I have it on the shelf, use it on my mtb and it cleans as it uses a carrier solvent and doesn't tend to attract dust/crud after the solvent has evaporated, but something like Inox would work just as well.

Hey - it was -3.5 degrees in Ipswich this morning. Now that's not exactly warm - and I've been to Calgary in winter.
