Square D was probably the most common brand of pump pressure switch I saw until electronic controllers came along.
They are a really basic pressure switch and you need a pressure tank, I wouldn't go back to one after having the electronic controller on the last house pump I had

    Update:

Pulled the pump out, took off the controller, took out the one way valve. Yes it has little magnet on it. Magnet still had grunt.

All clean inside. The little tank thing hanging off the controller was a little un tight so it got a quarter turn.

Installed a non return valve just upstream of pump inline, made no difference.

Let the pressure out of the tiny pressure tank (i.e. now 1 bar) and the thing is nearly normal, still a bit of pump over run when all taps off but will get through a full washing machine cycle without drama.

Will also shoot huge amounts of water out of a couple of outside taps when opened without needing to be reset first.
