    Rover V8 Inlet Manifold Sealant

    Good afternoon all,

    What is the best sealant to use on the inlet manifold when using a tin valley gasket on the Rover V8?

    I have done lots of research but i am getting mixed results. The manual states 'Hylomar sq32' which has been superseded by 'Hylomar M', but i assume this is for the black composite style gasket? I have carefully used normal RTV sealant for years, however it does make the inlet manifold difficult to remove, and i'd prefer to have less silicone in contact with the oil.

    I used Hylomar spray on the latest with a bit of grey sealant around the end rubbers and water passages.
