I've had two transmission specialists diagnose my Freelander 2, one says full transmission rebuild because the torque converter is screwed and the other says rubbish just needs a new valve body. Does anyone know if you can be certain it's just the valve body without looking at the whole transmission? He assures me if it's the case that its no the valve body that he will know once he removes it? Is this correct?
