That price seems about right for the stealer, I was charged about the same for both. Let me know if it's covered by extended warranty out of interest.

If your half handy with a socket set, then the fuel block is very simple.

3 10mm bolts to undo the fuel block and replace. A little awkward to get to, but other than that, a relativley simple job.

The fuel lines unclip, just watch what goes where and keep it all clean, and all will be OK.

I bought my part for approx $290 if I remeber correctly

So, a theoretical labour cost for, what, 1/2 hrs work? $280

If you do it yourself remove the engine cover then take it to a carwash and give the engine a good clean around the pressure regulator, it is not to hard to do but the bolts are not the easeist to get to

Ive recently noticed oil stain on the driveway where I park our 2002 s2 disco smells like diesel.
cant see where its coming from some oily substance on base of gearbox (manual)under belhousing. Could this be the fuel pressure regulator I have heard they leak.
If so what other symptoms should I be able to detect.
Can the leak be fixed new O ring etc.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi guys got my fuel pressure reg replaced $424 .00 stealer price plus labour total $570.00 , plus injector loom, plus cam plug, plus check why after having major service done ,auto went into limp mode, still got the stealer stumped on that one. said it could have been fawlty relay for glow plugs,(had a loose terminal) so ecu would log a fault.
as i said i was seeing if these were covered under extended warranty they weren't as they have to fail before they will pay up on them.(so you have to break down in the middle of nowhere pay a monsterous tow fee ,to which they will only pay $100 for a tow. ) so i guess it is only good if you have complete engine or transmission FAILURE.
but another thing i found out is if a stealer does an auto service for you they DO NOT change the filter in the auto! the excuse i was given was that LR say to change the filter at 40,000 km and that is it for the rest of the vehicles life. ( i wonder if that could be contributing to the approx 150,000km transmission failure you hear about?)uke2:
that's my gripe for a while

i'm very happy with my D2 and will post some pics when i get the chance to.
