    Dash bulb & fitting..

    The bulb that lights the fuel gauge has packed in, and I had two simple questions.

    1) Where can I buy a new one, and;
    2) Is it easy to fit?

    Got a long trip coming up in july, and would rather see how much fuel I have for night driving...

    Tell us what model car it is and we might be able to help.

    If it is a P38A Rangie, see my fitting instructions here: http://rangerovers.net/repairdetails/binnacle.html

    Hi Have you got the digital (new style clocks) if you have they are led built into the gauge.new gauge required.
    If you have the older gauges just unscrew the 4 screws that holds the dash pod on,one either side at the top and 2 underneath, pull the pod towards you and disconnect the speedo cable by squeezing it.turn the dash pod over to the right and you will see the bulbs in the clocks, they all have red/white wires going to them. they will be capless bulbs which in the uk can get at any car spares shop, probably the same in oz.
    easy job
    cheers

    Thanks Richard - older style - no LEDS in mine...

    Excellent description of the job - I will do it this weekend.
