I presume that this is regardless of whether the transmission is in reverse or not?
Do both reversing lights come on?
Help
Every time it rains and the Rangie gets wet the reverse lights come on. It dosent matter if it has been driven or not. No need for the keys to be in it.
It needs help.

Thats correct, regardless of where the gearstick is and yes, they both come onOriginally Posted by one_iota
Then it sounds like a short circuit between the feed to the rear lights after the reversing light switch but before the power to the rear lights splits...do you have the RAVE diagrams?

Yeah I think so, I will have to have a look
Maybe just leave it as it is and start calling it the "following vehicle wet road alert" feature.

Looking for needles in haystacks I reckon.
I'd be running new power to the reversing lights from the switch (disconnecting the old) rather than looking for a break.
You could jury rig this in the first instance to see if it works.
