I had all the flares off today as I have been fibreglassing them all
back tegether.
While they were drying I decided to see how much more articulation I
have now with the new suspension and where it rubs. It is ok but not
as good as I would have liked. It is only the wheel arches that are
holding it back, there is still more movement in the shocks and the
dislocating springs have not even dislocated.
Has anyone tried modifying the rear wheel arches? Or maybe I just need a bigger body lift.![]()

Damn, I want one of those!![]()
Low rider technology on a rangie, I like it
Seriously, it's very impressive
LOL. I was being serious when I said it was not as good as I thought it would be. Maybe I am being too hard on myself if everyone thinks it is ok.![]()
The LRA raised shouck mounts and the very light coils have made a huge difference....but wait till I build the Rangie Tray, then we should be able to get a bit more.
I wonder how some of these trucks get huge articulation. I found that I would not have been able to lift the rear wheel much more anyway, even if it did not hit the guard because the opposite rear wheel was starting to tuck under, so the car would roll over. This is all linked to the length of the axle, I don't think longer shocks or springs would make any difference.
Ask Mickrangie about the wheel arches, he has custom made new larger arches in his pos.
