Maybe the flasher can has a short from the power side to the LH rear output.

Hello All,
My tray-back Defender is parked outside and we just had some rain. When I walked passed the rear of the vehicle I noticed a bright glow coming from the passenger-side indicator. The key is out of the ignition, the indicator switch was not engaged, no other light switches were turned on.
I disconnected the battery as it is being drained.
What could be causing the indicator to be glowing - no flashing by the way?
Kind regards
Lionel

If it has a battery power supply wire to the trailer plug, I would suspect a short somewhere in the wiring between this and the rear indicator wire, otherwise as noted above.
