Stud Pattern and Stud thread

I have a trailer that is supposed to be land rover stud pattern.

While my RRC/Disco 1 rims fit the studs do not appear to be dead center of the holes. And the stud is smaller than the landrover one - ie RRC/Disco nuts just fit over the stud thread.

Qu - is there a common stud pattern that is 5 stud but smaller studs than land rover (RRC/Disco) and not quite the same pattern (centers)?

Have you got a picture of just the hub

No wheel in the way?

I’ve seen plenty of “Landrover” hubs which are just plain hubs drilled to the correct PCD and 1/2” generic studs whacked in ... in those case you could be able to over drill and install correct studs

But to answer your question
I believe there are some Volvo and one or two series of commos that had the same PCD as Proper LRover

Pic was close up of rims on studs as that is all I had and could not be bothered removing wheel to take a new pic at the end of the day.

I found out how to measure PCD for 5 stud - outside to middle across stud 1 and 3 (if that makes sense) . Anyway I think you are right as I read somewhere trailer studs are standardized to UNF sizes

I think mine might be 9/16 need to find a bolt that I know is same thread and check.

So I suspect I have landrover PCD but some other size nut - and my prob is if I fit these rims then I need the right thread with right size shank and outside diameter for the RRC rims.

So choices are :

1. find nuts to fit (might be impossible)
2. as you say re-drill the hubs to fit std land rover (RRC/DISCO) studs - then can use my rims and nuts)
3. Get new hubs with different pattern and matching rims (I have Nissan diffs so might be an idea to swap to a Nissan pattern) - but that is more cost as need 3x rins plus new hubs.

Trailer cost $200 so thought it was cheap - might not be now.

Here we go again.

If they are ALKO hubs with 10 inch brakes then they are UNF.

There is a trap as Land Rover metric studs have a smaller spline diameter than the UNF 9/16 studs so they have to be redrilled in between the existing holes.

The wheels do not look like LR wheels so may not be a problem if you can get the correct nuts with UNF.. If you want to use LR mags to use LR nuts you must have metric studs.

This may have changed in the last several years so not necessarily accurate today .
I reread your post and you want to fit LR rims so what I wrote does apply. beware of the potential trap.

BTW this only applies to mags. Steel wheels can be fitted with the UNF studs and nuts.

If you want Nissan 6 stud
Probably easiest just to pick up a set of new hubs and bearings and whack em on ???

6-stud 16” steel rims may be available dirt cheap. I put 6 out on the footpath and they were gone the same day.

6-stud trailer hubs aren’t that exxy, either.
