Thought I'd revive this thread - I've 'acquired' a Hayman Reese rear tow bar and am wondering whether I should put it on in place of the County vertical tounge style which is currently fitted to my County. The HR bar looks like it will protect the rear end and fuel tank better in case of someone rear ending me and has the additional mounting points at the rear holddown points on the chassis rails but sits lower and is heavier........Also its not height adjustable..........
    Any thoughts?

I have landed on mine a few times.

I think it gives a measure of protection to the fuel tank.

If your tank or Towbar does not hit, then the stuff your doing is not Serious. Try a track and not the Berwick Coles car park......
