Don't dismantle any further as the lock-out can be released from within the cup-holders.
I'll look-up the procedure and add it here shortly if no-one else beats me to it.
Hey everyone so I can’t find anything showing me what to do here I have a 2015 Range Rover sport that my mom spilled tomato sauce on the gear selector everything was fine for two days but then I go to leave my house and it will not come out of park. The fuse (f22) is fine and the brake lights work. I started taking apart the center console but don’t want to just keep taking things apart and get deeper and deeper and not know what to do. So any help would be greatly appreciated. I see there are a bunch of ppl with the same problem but either there was no solution given or it’s not my exact model. Mine almost looks like the whole center console is one piece.

This should do the trick of getting it out of Park but probably won't solve the real problem.
