    Limited Slip Diff

Is there a limited slip diff available for the range rover classic?

I have standard diffs and today went for a little drive and at one spot had the left front wheel and the right rear wheel spinning and me not going anywhere.
So, I thought a L.S.D. might help without the expense of a locker or maybe traction control

The answers to questions 3 & 4 on that website means that you will still have wheels spinning the same as you describe, so maybe a LSD wont make any difference.

    Hi Anthony
A bit of off-road advice worth heaps more than lockers and its free.
The moment you feel you are loosing traction lightly feather the brake pedal with your left foot whilst continuing to accelerate the same.
What this does is lock the spinning wheels via the brake application and make the diff send its traction to the other side of the axle where the traction is.
NO its not a replacement for a LSD or a locked diff but once practised in the art of doing it you will be pleasantly surprised how much better your vehicle will go in a tough situation.

    this also works with lsd's.
i think the lsd price(detroit) is more expensive than the detriot locker, ide just throw the locker in.

I had that particular unit in the back of my head, but I couldnt remember it. I saw an ad for them in a 4X4 magazine, apparantly they just released a unit for the Salisbury Axle.

    Thanks for the replies.
Has anyone had experience with traction control fitted to an older rangie. I have spoken to the people at Haultech and they seem to have a good kit that has been tested in off-raod situations.
