3 years isn't very long. Have you done a lot of hard work with the Disco?
If not, it might be a warranty issue (if it's under 3 yrs/100000km old).

Don't you have a contact at LR (or am I confusing you with someone else) ?

    Hi All
I am afraid that it is out of warranty by 6 months karcraft seem the best bet there price is $411 not so bad I suppose. The way problem seems to be the free travel in the pedal is getting bigger so i think it will only get worse and there is a squeal when you let the clutch out when the car is cold in reverse and it will probably let us down when on a trip so better to replace it now I think.

DZ & DLD: does it only do it in reverse ?
We've replaced a few spigots lately for a noise problem on initial use when cold (*edit: forwards or reverse).
(Whether it fixed it or not might be a different matter)

The squeal sounds like the spigot, mine was doing that, not just in reverse though.

the spigot bearing is the one in the flywheel......the gearbox input shaft...
the shaft that the clutchplate resides on....goes into this bearing......

thats the sort of noise im getting.....but it makes the noise as im releasing the clutch...ie..letting the pedal up......
which is when the spigot stops working......

    its got me knackered......
