3 years isn't very long. Have you done a lot of hard work with the Disco?
If not, it might be a warranty issue (if it's under 3 yrs/100000km old).
Don't you have a contact at LR (or am I confusing you with someone else) ?
Hi All
Looks like the clutch is failing in the disco has does anyone know the best place to purchase a new clutch kit and the approximate cost.
Regards
Doug

Hi All
I am afraid that it is out of warranty by 6 months karcraft seem the best bet there price is $411 not so bad I suppose. The way problem seems to be the free travel in the pedal is getting bigger so i think it will only get worse and there is a squeal when you let the clutch out when the car is cold in reverse and it will probably let us down when on a trip so better to replace it now I think.
Regards
Doug
if you find out what the squeal in reverse is......let me know.....
mine started doing it as well......when i reverse out of the drive in the morning.....
it only does it once and you dont get it again till first start up the next day......
and my clutch is only around 25,000kms old......
DZ & DLD: does it only do it in reverse ?
We've replaced a few spigots lately for a noise problem on initial use when cold (*edit: forwards or reverse).
(Whether it fixed it or not might be a different matter)

The squeal sounds like the spigot, mine was doing that, not just in reverse though.
Hi Scouse
Excuse my lack of knowledge but what part is the Spigot. I better go see my mechanic
Regards
Doug
the spigot bearing is the one in the flywheel......the gearbox input shaft...
the shaft that the clutchplate resides on....goes into this bearing......
thats the sort of noise im getting.....but it makes the noise as im releasing the clutch...ie..letting the pedal up......
which is when the spigot stops working......
its got me knackered......
ME TOO
Mine does it first thing in the morning, forward or reverse.Started doing it soon after buying it,hasnt got no worse 10000ks later,210000ks allup.
