Why not leave your bi-zenons as is and just put LEDs in the fill in lamps?
G’day forum,
As we (wife & me) have intentions of travelling for 4/5 months shortly (subject to borders being open). It’s been suggested to me that I upgrade the head lights on our 2006 Discovery 3 from the current Bi-xenon to LED?
The person suggested the change because I don’t wish to have spot/driving lights installed on nudge bar, as we won’t be doing a lot of night driving I don’t see the for additional lights.
Has any one on the forum converted an early model D3 headlights to LED if so: is it worth the effort, do you just change globes, and if not just changing globes - do you need to realign the head lights to avoid blinding on coming traffic.

My L320 lights are similar. I replaced the xenon bulbs as I read they can fade over time. Not sure if that is true but I bought ones that advertised themselves as being brighter (could be more fibs). At same time I replaced the Halogen 'in fill' bulbs with LEDs , again ones that said they were much brighter. Also polished the headlight lens covers.
End result is the lights are twice as good as they were. Though three changes at once (xenon bulbs, led bulbs and polish) makes it hard to know if one made more of a difference than the others.
You need to understand how your Bi -Xenons work - the outer lights are the Bi Xenons and are both low and hi beam. This comprises a fixed "HID" globe in a projector housing. The hi and low beam function is created by a moveable shutter that moves when you select hi or low beam to create the required beam.
The inner lights comprise a standard 55w halogen light that only comes on with hi beam -these are termed the "fill in Beams/lamps" - I guess to cover any dark spots in the main beam.
On cars without Bi -Xenons the outer lights (standard or projector) are a simple 55w low beam and the inner 55w halogens are the Hi Beams.
Also as mentioned Bi - Xenon HIDs do fade with use so if yours are original, maybe new globes might assist.

yours and 101RRS input into lights has given me some insights into things. Can I ask if you bought yours from a dealer or the internet, or someone like repco/super cheap? No LR dealers on Morington Peninsula.
Didn’t have this problem with my old FJ or EH, they did light anything up.
