I know blue might be nice to match the stereo - but are you sure you want the eye-strain? Blue is, without a doubt, the hardest colour to see at night.

If you change the dash to blue what about the climate control, various buttons and all the other lights throughout the dash. It would be easier to get and alpine cd player with a green background probably cheaper as well

Alternatively by some rose coloured sunglasses then the whole world could be red

    Aye, that I did.

In my opinion they look great in a Defender, and they are way easier to read then the dull green glow before.

I got them direct from the UK. There are kits available for Discos too, both 200 & 300.

My eyes are tired from just looking at those two photos.
    Blue looks dark.

But who takes to much notice of whats going on down there anyway when driving.

Actually, they're very easy to see at night, and certainly a lot brighter and clearer than the original green of the Defender. I guess the photos just don't do them justice.

yes the lights are for a disco

hey paul can you let me know where you got the kit from......

and in response to the climate control lights if i had the material i would turn them blue also by changing the red and blue colour filter to blu and dark blue think that would look cool as i rekon......

and it would also be in keeping with my heater controls as well because even when i got hot air coming out car doesn't usually warm until i get to work anyway so the blue wouldn't be out of place.......

but i have a feeling that some of the dash kit may possibly cover that any way, but not a hundred percent sure

Landrovermick had a post on the old forum on how to use coloured LEDs in a disco dash.
