    Cracked door frame

    Hi all,

I’ve got a crack in my driver side door as per the attached pic. Was wondering if that is fixable with a brazing rod or should i get someone to tig weld it?

    Hi, That's a defender td5,

As it is steel (thanks, for some reason I assumed it's alloy) Can use Unimig welder and mig weld it with gas, or is tig still the way to go?

I take it's best to remove the door or would it be ok to just disconnect the battery?

    thanks all
