Thread: 40mm ome lift question/problem

Put a stand under the chassis and lower the diff till the load is off the spring and rotate it in the seat. You will notice that the springs tend to bow out towards the front of the car slightly thus trying to lift one side of the coil of the seat. Do your springs have a taper at the end where they go flat to sit in the spring seat ?

ok update ran out of time yesterday so decided to get it looked at 2day stoped in at a company called blue max suspenion on toombul rd northgate asked them to have a look and to rectify teh problem sure enough up on the hoist it goes about 30 mins later it drives back out
the guy informs me that the taper goes towards the front o the car thats why it was not seating properly ok mental note for future i thought but looking at it now it sits nice and flush top and bottom actually better then when it was first done good stuff i thought then i asked him about how much it was and should i see the guys in the office he informs me that there was no charge and he was happy to do it so i must say if anybody is in need of work these guys are imho well worth going to they will get my repeate buisness in teh future should the need arise i must say it is good to see that there are still people out there who are willing to do things out of kindness
