D2 Transfer Case tear down - problems found #2

The dog teeth on the High Output gear have readily noticeable wear, backlash doesn't seem excessive, is the gear still serviceable?

    It's not great.
Too much dog clutch wear will usually result in jumping out of engagement, it'll feel similar to the detent pressure being too light.

I can only think they use a collar/hub style of dog for NVH/gear rattle?
I much prefer face dogs, much faster/easier shifting and much stronger.

I have a D2 transfer case for sale. No centre diff lock. I believe it is in good condition.
