I'd be interested in getting this done if the method looks effictive and professional - am in Sydney though - suppose I could get it shipped down and back.
Unless work call me in for O/T tomorrow, I'll head down there and assess the situation. I'll get a firm quote for a one off and a quote for a batch of 5 (I think we can get that much interest). I'll also tell them we can promote it on the site with a review & some photos if they do a good price / job.
I'll let you know how it goes.
I went to Supertrim today, incidentally, they've relocated to Summer Pl in Ringwood, but Yellow Pages on-line hasn't updated their details.
They had a look at the rear seats and will get back to me (probably Wednesday) with a firm quote for a 1 off as well as a price for a bulk order of 5 or 10 vehicles. In the latter case, they would make a standard bracket with headrests to fit Defenders. I told them that the bulk order would include some promotion (through this discussion) on line, including pics. So hopefully they'll recognise the advertising potential of doing a good job.
They're going to get prices on headrests and trim and email me pics of the head rest designs avaialble as well as the trim options available, if they can't source original cloth.
I will keep you posted with pics, prices and updates as these become available.

good work mate im keen as long as there price doesnt knock me over
im awaiting and hoping for the best for me and my back seat passengers :wasntme:
Okay here's a preliminary report.
The guy at Supertrim lost my contact details and so was waiting for me to call him back which was close to close of business for the day, so we'll have to wait till tomorrow for the email with pics & a firm quote.
Here's the ball park figures though obtained in conversation.about $400 + GST for a one off.while they appreciate the opportunity for exposure in the forum, the company is aiming at providing trimming to car manufacturers and this is not the direction they are heading.
about $360 + GST for a batch of 5
Other options would be to [1] get the quote for grey vinyl instead of cloth trim. One of the major factors in cost was the amount of material & wastage. [2] to buy the materials as a kit for a DIY installation.
I'll explore & price these options and get back to you with results.
hope it starts to sound a little better
thanks for all your foot work mate keep me posted:D
have you considered these:

a bit unusual, but look the part!
Hi Michael2
Do your enquiries with Supertrim include the ability to remove the headrests to allow the rear seats to be folded? I would be very interested if they can come up with such a system.
Cheers,
Lionel
