I considered the Exmoor trim headrests, but dismissed them on the basis of cost, (from GBP140 ea. when I checked, from memory) but they are removable. They would also be rather bulky to have sent from the UK.
Someone local (Melb) used to sell them, but they had to stop because they do not comply with Aus design rules. (This wouldn't preclude individuals from importing them and fitting them).

That was one of the design stipulations, that they be removable for that very purpose.
I'm still waiting on he email from Supertrim. However in the meantime I've obtained a second quote from Veh-Quip.
Veh-Quip do not offer any bulk discount as "the job takes as long no matter how many they do."
The job involves dismantling the frame and welding a metal bar to the top tube. This bar has holes into which plastic lugs for the head rest locate. The headrest then slides into these. These protrude at the top and have a spring loaded detent for adjustment.
Veh-Quip will charge $121 per head rest (inclusive of GST) and will need the seat for a day. This is for a grey vinyl headrest. Cloth would be an extra $10-15 but they won't be able to match the Land Rover trim. You can either leave the seat back with them or leave the vehicle there.

Incidently, child restraints in Vic can just be put on the wheel arch, which is what I've seen in new cars but not what I heard from you guys in NSW.
I think there must be ADRs and NSW-DRs.

Hi!
To supply and fit headrests to a Landcruiser, for one vehicle you would typically be looking at approx $400 + GST.
For 5 - 10 vehicles the price would be $360 + GST, and
For 10 + vehicles the price would be $350 + HST.
This contemplates fitting 3 headrests to a back seat. The trim may not be an exact match for the original trim in the vehicle.

I think the Veh-Quip quote looks better. Maybe spending $240 total and getting two headrests on the side seats would be the economic choice. As there's no group discount with them, just get their details from above.
