I've fitted the amv kit to mine a few years ago no problems till now I have lost power to switch but that should be easy to fix, fitted the kit myself so may be the one to blame for above kit.
Also some of the kits only work in low range you want one that works in hi and low

    Hi Kai
Pretty sure you can use the D1 CDL setup as you have an auto.On the manual D2 the plate on the shifter that the CDL is deleted,as far as I know it is retained on the auto.(read it on a UK site)
I havent had a look at a D2 auto shifter so not 100% sure.
Perhaps others that have seen in there will let you know.If it is compatible there should be a rectangle hole approx 100mmx50mm with 4 bolt holes. The D1 CDL shifter should bolt on there.

I have a 2000 disco TD5 auto & I fitted a manual actuator for the CDL from Rangie spares in melbourne. about $400 plus $20 freight to Canberra. took me about 2 hours to fit. Easy to do. just have to drill a hole thru the floor after fitting the bracket. good instructions.
The handle is in the floor at the base of the drivers seat(in the middle) - just reach down & pull up or push down.
I chose the manual version because I didn't want to play around with the electrics on the D2.
It's good to know I can lock the centre diff when the ABS lights come on.

    Hi,
I have a Bruce Davis mechanical actuator,
when you pull it into low it automatically locks centre diff.

around $350 works brilliantly nothing to bugger up in the water and mud.
    cheers
