    TD5 Drive Belt Again

    can anyone tell me if there is aproblem with td5 drive belts this is the 3rd one to snap in last six months on my 2000 defender extreme any help appreciated.

    Hi The belts shouldn't snap, check all your pulleys for play or damage, and double check the way the belt routes around the pulleys. once you have fitted the belt, leave the fan off or take it off ,if you haven't already , start the engine and have a good look at all the pulleys going round. don't worry it wont overheat without the fan while you are checking this.
