    oil substance side of motor

    I have oil coming down the left side of the motor Under the head line could it be the turbo

    Picked up mine the other day found the same thing, it was simply the rocker cover need a few turns on each bolt, the cover on top hid the source so I removed it on "having a look where the oils coming from" was lucky it was nothing more.

    more than likely coming from the inlet manifold (gasket) These engines blow a fair bit of oil vapour through the induction system, and most 300Tdi's I've seen get 'wet' there at some stage.

    Gasket time

    Your manifold gasket has had it - spend $23 and get a nice thick new one. Easy to replace. If you have broken studs or bolts, M8 HT will do the trick.

    Smile Thanks it was turbo hose

    Now I have more power and TRS found a turbo hose had to be replaced and now more power and no oil down the side of motor
    What a great landrover day when the landrover gods smile thnings are great
