Thread: My most senior moment yet...

Decided to finally remove that annoying minor oil leak from the LT230.
Turns out the collar on the R380 Gearbox was fractured & one new clutch, dual mass flywheel & full transfer rebuild - plus an Ashcroft ATB later -it all went back together.
Much easier to install the gearbox first ( it was then I reconditioned the transfer) and it all finally went together last week.
Took it for a test drive. Leaked worse than ever...
Separated them again thinking I damaged the transfer box seal, or maybe a poor quality one.
None of the above.
I forgot to fit it....... Found it buried on the work bench... I'll never understand how I managed that one!!!
