Here is a pic of the problem:

    - click the pics for a larger view. You can see from the clean patch in the last pic I've been able to move the pipe about 15mm through flex but I can't get it to move anymore without attempting to bend the pipe itself. Anyone know how pliable these pipes are?

    Hi Dave,

I had exactly the same problem when I put my ARB Winch Bar on last year, I loosened the clamp and pushed the offending pipe back as mush as needed, making the rubber connecting hose bend a bit more, it was a squeeze but it whent in eventually, I had pics but they were on the old site and dont know what happened to them.

With the extra pressure on the crimp connection between rubber and metal pipes it did start to leak about 6 months after I did it, well thats what I thought caused it. A trip to Pirtek or Enzed fix's that with replacable connections.

Can't you just cut a notch in the winch cradle to clear the pipe? A pic of the cradle would help.

    Thanks for the replies.
Well here are some pics of the winch plate. Cutting is a good idea in principle (although I'd probably need an oxy) but I think it would significantly weaken it and the winch itself (if I ever got one) might still foul the pipe.

I was just wondering if anyone has experience of reforming those type of pipes and am I likely to fracture it if I tried?

But it looks like the ideal place to attach a bash plate!

The seller? No it came from the Opposite Lock stand, the bar is new or as good as, but the winch plate is obviously second hand but in good nick.
