    sls airbag blown :-(

    my airbag blew :-( not happy and well financess are less happy, anyone know prices of some cheap bags, new second hand (not fussed at the monent)

    I don't think there is any such thing as a cheap airbag.

    If you have the time to ait then have a look on the US Ebay and you can get some bargins every now and again. There is also a place in the US that makes cheaper aftermarket airbags for the Disco, I think they are about $350 delivered but will have to search to find the site for you.

    Airbags only last 10 years, after that there is NO guarantee that it will prefrom as it should. It is normally reccomened to replace them at the 10 year mark.

    Another hail for technology... If their going to put that crap on a 4wd at least make it reasonable to replace.my mate 04 Explorer has frigging airbags everywhere and looking it over the other night the daughters VS has more ground clearence the 4.6lt V8 is nice though has a deep V of a windosr look, all alloy and pulls the thing around town at 17-19L/Per100Km not bad considering its abig plastic lump of crap.

    I bought mine from british4wd,you may be able to track down second hand ones have a look in recommended suppliers and try interstate
    disco seriesII mods so far:-bullbar,hyd winch,
    detriot locker,lsd front,C.D.L kit,chipped and bigger intercooler,2" lift,rock sliders, lsd in transfer case, modified auto trans.

    I think by your description SLS you are talking suspension airbag?
    NOT SRS accident protection airbags as others here are talking about
    as someone below mentioned airbag man is reasonable
    P38 airbags (susp) were $135ea (from memory) + $15 freight
    I'm not sure if D2 bags are the same??
    you may find one 2nd hand but obviously bugger all warranty
    where are you located? I know Romsey LR have a stack of 2nd hand bags but not sure for what models

    Jase, yea sls suspension not the srs, rang the airbag man, they dont do one for the D2 maybe later this year dont think i can wait that looong
