    Bulkhead variations on series III

I have searched and amazingly cannot find anything on this topic. I need to find out what variations of Bulkhead were available to bolt onto my series III chassis. This is a future endeavour to convert the vehicle to one with 5 forward seats. Will a stage 1 bulkhead still bolt on?

At the moment it's just a tidy up for rego

Some of the UK mobs (like Scorpion Racing)sell a bulkhead removal part... might be worth having a look at one of those and see if it'd be the same as a county option

series II and IIa will bolt on and are much stronger than the series iii

hinges for screen frame are different and not interchangeable if my memory serves me right

and the door hinges are different, but are interchangeable.

the dash is different as there is no plastic ....

speedo cable retaining clip is different...

few knobs buttons and switches to alter but is all doable.

I suggest the best place to look would be the Series 3 Parts Catalogue (I know there is one available on line but I don't have the reference). As far as I know there are three Series 3 bulkheads - 4 cylinder, 6 cylinder and Stage 1. All will bolt on the chassis and fit most other panels, but each requires different floor and transmission tunnel panels.

I cannot see what the relevance of the bulkhead is to the number of seats.

Dobbo, are you wanting to have a 5+ seater vehicle/ bulkhead and fit a renovated chassis, motor, hard-top etc? If so, perhaps just getting the extra 2 seats engineer certified might be easier? I've seen a Series III V8 hardtop with that setup.

    Thanks JD
Perhaps I have my terminology wrong The tub where the seats are is this still classed as the Bulkhead?
