Why is this called a bulkhead removal bar then?

Wagon tobs are classified 10 seat - 3 front, three middle and 2 each side over the wheel arches. Yes, they are interchangable.

A Series III wagon has a bar across behind the front seats. A Series Hardtop/ styleside has a bulkhead (1/2 wall) behind the front seats. You can take the bulkhead out and replace with a bar.

Ah! It is "A" bulkhead, not "the" bulkhead. It is not normally supplied as a separate part, although it is listed as such. It comes in two varieties, swb and lwb, and does not exist on the 109 station wagon except below the top of the seat box, being replaced by a bar behind the front seats. There is no difference between the six, four and stage 1, (except of course that two of these are only lwb) and is the same from S2 to S3, probably the same on 90/110/Defender as well.
