    discovery roof

    Hi Guys,
Long story but my father has a aluminium roofrack sitting at his place which was for his now long gone range rover. It was i think a 89 model it had a viscous centre diff would that be about right?? Anyway the roofrack is mine if I want it.
I have a series 2 disco, I spoke to the manufacturer of the roof rack and he said that that age range rover, and the series 1 and 2 disco's all have the same width roof and use the same roof rack.
I thought the rangerover was wider than the disco's.

    Any experts out there

    Aaron

I'm not too sure about the width, but the Disco roof is stepped. The rear section is a lot higher above the gutter than the Range Rover.
I very much doubt that it will fit without a lot of work to the mounts.

Wont fit, i have a full length rack off my rangie and there is no way it will fit my D1 without making new legs to account for the step in the rear.
